How it plays

Words with something at stake.

Drag across the comb to spell words. Every word scores, and longer words score a lot more. But the hive is more than a board: the queen at the center must be fed, and mold blooms at the edge and creeps toward her. It always shows you its next move, and the only cure is spelling straight through it.

As you play, you improve the hive itself. Cells can be upgraded, and words spelled through valuable cells are worth far more. Waggle is a word game crossed with a strategy game—the comb you build matters as much as the words you find.

Build your score

Good words build a better hive.

Make good words, earn points, and put them into the cells you spell through most. An upgraded cell multiplies everything played through it, so a long word through a well-developed corner of the comb can produce a score far beyond the word alone.

Waggle keeps track of your best words, high scores, and personal records—and when a word is too good to keep to yourself, you can share it with friends.
